About car rental

Although car rental is in itself a simple and transparent service, as is often the case, the devil is in the detail. That is why we have decided to answer the most frequently asked questions about car rental.

Car rental is a service for private individuals and businesses that involves the lending of a car by a company specialising in this type of activity to an individual or a company for a fee. It is the ideal solution for those who:

  • do not have their own car but need one at certain times (short-term rental);
  • use the car while travelling (so-called airport rental);
  • run a business and need to increase their fleet at some point (e.g. for 3-6 months) in order to cover all orders (medium-term rental);
  • want to have a car exclusively at their disposal for a long period of time but do not want to buy one (long-term rental also known as subscription car).

These are, of course, just a few hypothetical situations in which car rental can work - our experience shows us that every client has a different reason for renting a particular vehicle or vehicles.

As with the price of other services, the shortest answer is "it depends". The cost of a rental is made up of many factors: the class, model and make of car, equipment and configuration, the length of time you rent the car for, pick-up and drop-off locations, the mileage limit granted, etc. It is therefore difficult to give a definite answer to this question.To find out about our competitive prices, contact our sales department and ask for an offer tailored to your needs: +48 666 012 439 or handlowy@interfleet.pl.

Again, as with the previous question, the answer could be "it depends" - primarily on the type of rental.

Customers deciding to rent a car on a short-term basis are usually primarily guided by price. In this segment, minis and small city cars (Class A and B) rule. Urban cars are also often chosen as cars for sales representatives (medium and long-term rental).

In contrast, compacts (i.e. mid-size cars from the C class) are popular for medium- and long-term car rentals. Interestingly, different car brands are popular in the north of our country when compared with those chosen in the south - this has to do with the different weather conditions experienced in these regions.

Our three most popular and frequently rented cars are:

  • Kia Ceed
  • Toyota C-HR
  • Mazda CX-5

The answer to this question is directly related to the type of rental the customer decides on. At Inter Fleet, each rental type has a minimum and maximum rental period. And so:

  • Short-term rental: 1-30 days
  • Medium-term rental: 11-11 months
  • Long-term rental (subscription): 12-60 months
  • Long-term rental with optional buy-out: 12, 24 or 36 months

Thus, a car can be hired for at least one day and the longest for up to five years.

Probably most of us associate car hire with the stands of well-known brands that we encounter at airports or large, interchangeable train and bus stations, as well as in hotels in city centres. And these are the locations we are most familiar with.

Increasingly, however, rent-a-car companies are investing in branches located slightly away from the city centre, but always along important traffic routes (e.g. major streets or exit roads). Usually such branches have sizable car parks of their own, which would be difficult to have downtown or at the airport. Many companies choose to rent small spaces in shopping centres or offices, which are only used to serve the customer in terms of car drop-off and pick-up. This solution is the answer to the needs of those customers who care about their time and fast completion of formalities. Follow the link for Inter Fleet branches.

Of course! Inter Fleet offers all types of cars, from the smallest to the largest, including minibuses with several seats.

The largest passenger car you can rent at Inter Fleet is Renault Trafic in a 9-seater version.

If you need a car with more cargo space for a few days or if you run a business and you need it for a few months a year, you should check out our van rental offer.

At Inter Fleet, we have several types of vans which, thanks to their appropriately selected configuration, will prove themselves in every situation:

  • Toyota Proace City, a small van that is new to the Japanese manufacturer's range; the car has three seats and a spacious cargo area with a capacity of 4.4 m3 and a load capacity of 954 kg, making it ideal for removals, for example;
  • Renault Trafic, a medium-sized van that will meet the transport needs of most small businesses. It is a three-seater with a load capacity of up to 8.6 m3 and is equipped with an economical and dynamic diesel engine.

In most cases, rent a car companies impose similar limits and restrictions on their customers. These usually concern, among other things, the mileage limit, the age and number of drivers who may drive the rented car, or the amount of the deductible for potential damage.

Therefore, when renting a car, it is worth checking what conditions the company offers and considering whether they are acceptable to you.

The drop-off procedure is very similar to the pick-up procedure, except that in this case, the rent-a-car company's employee will very carefully check the condition of the car for any new damage, dents or scratches and the completeness of the equipment.

If everything is in order, the parties sign a return protocol and the rental company releases the funds blocked as a deposit within a few days.
